Join us for a 3-day hiking adventure in the beautiful Nuratau Mountains. On the first night, stay with a local family in a traditional homestay, then enjoy a peaceful night in a yurt camp with stunning mountain views. Hike through scenic valleys and ridges, with panoramic views of Lake Aydarkul, the Nuratau Mountains, and the Kyzyl-Kum steppe. This tour offers a perfect mix of nature, culture, and adventure for those looking to experience the beauty and warmth of the Uzbek countryside.
Itenerary
Day 1 – Journey from Samarkand to Sayyod Village
* The tour can be started from Bukhara as well.
At 9:00 AM, meet your driver at the tour’s starting point and begin your journey to Sayyod Village, located in the beautiful Nuratau Mountains. Arrive around lunchtime and check into your homestay, where the rooms are decorated in traditional Uzbek style, creating a cozy, authentic atmosphere. After settling in, take some time to explore the village and enjoy the peaceful mountain surroundings.
In the afternoon, go on a relaxed 6 km (3-hour) hike through the stunning Nuratau Mountains. Starting from your homestay, the trail winds through a quiet valley and gradually climbs, offering stunning views of Lake Aydarkul and nearby villages. The hike ends at a viewpoint, where you can take in the panoramic scenery and capture some great photos.
Return to your homestay for a warm, home-cooked dinner, featuring delicious regional flavors.

Day 2 – Exploring Nuratau Mountains and Staying at Sayyod Yurt Camp
Start the day with a 15 km (7-hour) loop hike that takes you to a mountain plateau. As you hike through valleys and ridges, enjoy stunning views of the Kyzyl-Kum steppe, Lake Aydarkul, the Nuratau Mountains, and nearby villages. During the hike, a picnic lunch will be served.
The day concludes at Sayyod Yurt Camp, where you can relax and take part in optional activities. You can try cooking classes, enjoy a bike ride, stargaze with a telescope, or simply unwind by the outdoor pool. If the weather allows, take a swim or gather around the campfire in the evening to enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere.

Day 3 – Departure to Bukhara via Lake Aydarkul and Nurata
After breakfast, depart from Sayyod Yurt Camp and head toward Bukhara, making a stop at Lake Aydarkul for a relaxed visit. Take a walk along the lake’s shore and enjoy the scenic surroundings. If the weather is good, you can even enjoy a refreshing swim.
Next, continue to Nurata, where you’ll have a traditional lunch at a family-run restaurant. After lunch, explore the historical sites of Nurata, including the ancient fortress ruins thought to be built by Alexander the Great, the holy spring, and the nearby medieval mosque.
The day ends with a drive to Bukhara, where you'll arrive in the late afternoon.
